"As a tourist this was the best place. We were staying a little outside the city and chose here based on convenience and previous reviews. Olga served us and she was just lovely. Literally couldn’t do enough for us and we had a great chat with her. She really tried to help when she suggested getting one main for our two children to split between them. Food was unreal. We live in London and have lots of choice there but this was a different level of ‘home cooked’ great tasting food. Portions were excellent and value for money was brilliant. The place was full of locals on a Saturday night. Worth a visit and taking a trip out of the city if you are budget sensitive and want to avoid the tourist traps this is your place. Thanks again Olga…your kindness for towards us deserves a glowing review (I don’t leave many reviews but I had to for your place)."

"A lovely small restaurant just a block of the main shopping street. I wish I could give it a 4.5. Our server was lovely and the food was pretty darned good! My only complaint is that my dish was not very attractive, and there appeared to be a slice of what looked like American processed cheese on top."

"The waiters were very kind and welcoming, they even explained the menu to us in English, how they cooked their dishes and gave recommendations. Our favorite was their fresh baked bread, super soft and tasted quite unique compared to other places’ bread we’ve tried in Italy. The hospitality was great!"

"My family had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was great, the service was lovely, and the atmosphere was quiet enough that we could carry on a conversation. All of our dishes were great. My favorite was the gnocchi. My son did not previously like shrimp or clams and after trying our spaghetti dish, he now loves them! I would definitely recommend this place!"

"What a wonderful evening. We are staying a bit outside the tourist area and came upon this place. It is a spot for locals. We were lucky that one of the day servers was still there. She is the wife of the cook and was eating dinner with her daughter- and spoke English. She guided us through the family favorites and helped us choose our courses. It was excellent. Our best night on this trip."

"I have eaten at Olga and Marco’s restaurant many times, and it is truly one of Florence’s hidden treasures. Their food is authentic — delicious, fresh, and made with such genuine care. Nothing about it feels touristy; it’s honest, soulful cooking that tastes of love and tradition. Olga is a joy — so welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable. She makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. And Marco, the chef, is hardworking and passionate — every dish he creates comes from the heart. This is the kind of place you discover off the beaten path and never forget. You come for the food, but you return for the warmth, the people, and the feeling of being truly cared for — mind, body, and spirit."

"A lovely tavern with delicious food, a daily menu that sources fresh, local ingredients, and owned and operated by a very kind couple. I had the most tender and tasty steak I've had in Florence and my buddy got tortellini that made him have a flash back to his Italian grandmother's homemade pasta. A warm, welcoming atmosphere a little away from the tourist center that's so refreshing. A true hidden gem of the city I'd love for you to come discover. If you take some time to get to know the owners, you'll understand why the food and this place are so wonderful!"
